LAUNCHHOUSE TO HOST TECH UNCONFERENCE

LaunchHouse has selected more than 20 teams to pitch and demo their ideas at the Tech UnConference on July 18, from 10am to 3pm. Following the UnConference, LaunchHouse will select 10 teams to participate in the LaunchHouse Accelerator. The inaugural class will begin September 4, 2012.

Teams will have experience-based lab sessions, in an innovative work environment, with one on one mentorship, and dinners/networking with successful entrepreneurs. The program curriculum focuses on customer-centric methods and business development, meaning that from the very beginning companies are engaging their market.

About the LaunchHouse Accelerator

The Ohio Third Frontier ONEFund Accelerator Program designated LaunchHouse to become one of four premier accelerators in the state. This designation carries a $200,000 ONEFund grant which will go directly to ten teams of entrepreneurs. The immersive development experience and methodology stresses a customer-centric focus, meaning that from the very beginning our entrepreneurs are striving to understand the needs of their customers. The Accelerator has taken a grass-roots approach to developing the methodology, as it has been co-designed with entrepreneurs and academics in order to create sessions that fulfill real and evolving needs of stakeholders. Entrepreneurs build skills sets in three primary areas: conceptual, technical and interpersonal.
