iOTOS gives household objects a smart upgrade
Imagine a world in which your shower water automatically starts heating the moment your alarm clock goes off. A world where you never have to ponder “did I leave the garage door open?” or “did I turn off all the lights.” iOTOS, a startup participating in our inaugural accelerator program session, hopes to make our lives a whole lot easier. Cleveland natives Art Geigel and Christopher Armenio founded iOTOS , short for Internet-of-things-operating-system, to give common objects an smart upgrade.
I sat down with the guys to discuss their experiences and progress within the LaunchHouse Accelerator. Listen to our conversation here!

Here are some of the key takeaways:
- Access, control and receive information about your devices throughout your smartphone (ex. Stove sends you a reminder if it's left on)
- Garage door automatically closes and lights automatically turn off when you leave house
- The iOTOS team is spread coast-to-coast, keep connected through Hangouts and frequent project weekends
- Cleveland has embraced entrepreneurship and innovation over the years
