Got a great idea for using technology to improve healthcare using mobile devices and/or gaming?

Want valuable feedback from potential customers or investors?

This event will help you take your first steps or realize your idea needs work.

What's in it for  you: Attendees include approximately 35 handpicked subject matter experts and investors. If your idea rocks you'll receive 2 hours of Bizdom coaching AND may be invited to present your idea to the Bizdom Seed Funding Committee in Detroit for a chance to participate in the Bizdom Accelerator.

INTERESTED IN ATTENDING? NEXT STEPS:

Send your responses to the following six questions to clevelandinfo@bizdom.com by FRIDAY, AUGUST 24, 2012, for a chance to be selected to participate in this month's NEXT NEW THING CHALLENGE:

1. A short description of your idea (20 words max).

2. A short description of your target market (20 words max).

3. A short description of your competition (20 words max).

4. What are your next steps? (20 words max)

6. A link to your Linkedin profile(s)

If you're selected to participate you'll receive instructions on what to bring to the event.

But there's a catch: Your idea must be just an idea. You cannot present a working demo or prototype. You can use drawings or models but we really want you to pour your energy into the idea, explore its feasibility, competition, and the business or funding model behind it.

MORE ON THIS MONTH'S CHALLENGE

This month we're exploring healthcare applications using mobile devices and/or gaming. Mobile technology is changing the way consumers and healthcare practitioners exchange and track information. Think about the different mobile platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, and slate or iPad devices. Or think about gamification, points, immersive experiences, competition. Also think about different demographics: home care, the elderly, people with disabilities, children, veterans. And think about conditions: heart care, diabetes, obesity, cancer. Think about the end user and customer: patients, doctors, nurses, other practitioners, children, parents. Think about the economics for: insurance providers, hospitals, clinics, businesses, individuals. What are applications or software or hardware (devices, sensors, cameras, etc.) that can improve care, speed recovery, enhance wellness, decrease costs, save time? The sky's the limit.

TIPS

- Think of an idea that's radically better than what currently exists.

- Do some research and be knowledgeable about what currently exists.

- Ask yourself whether your idea is something people MUST HAVE!
